How Do I . . .
Get a library card
Patrons applying for library borrowing privileges must be residents of Morgan, Summit, or Weber counties. Applicants must:
• Sign library authorization card
• Show photo ID (issued by government, school or employer)
• Show proof of residency (bank statement, utility bill, school transcript, etc.); no junk mail
Non-residents (outside of Morgan, Summit or Weber counties) may apply for a Morgan County Library card for a yearly fee of $25.00.
Renew and place holds online
To renew an item online, login to your account and click on “Renew” or “Renew All” to the right of the item(s) you have checked out. If your library card has expired, there are fines on your account, or another patron is waiting for an item you have checked out, you will not be able to renew and will need to call the library at (801) 829-3481 for assistance.
Place a Hold on Materials?
To place a hold on an item, login to your account and click on “Catalog”, then search for a title you would like. Click on the hyperlinked book title and “hold it” at the right of the record.
Suggest an item to be purchased by the Library?
We welcome patron recommendations for our purchase consideration. Patrons are welcome to fill out a Purchase Request at the library or fill out a form online.
Request an Interlibrary loan?
If you do not find an item you want in the library, ask the librarian about interlibrary loans which are available for library card holders. Patrons are welcome to fill out an ILL request form at the library or fill out a form online.
There is a $3.00 charge for postage.
Download digital content
Utah's online library, which includes OverDrive and RB Digital (OneClick) can be accessed from our home page. For OverDrive you log in with your Morgan County Library barcode number and the last four digits of your cell phone number. For RB Digital you log in with a username and password of your choosing.
Book club books through Book Buzz
Up to 15 copies of a title can be requested for books clubs, through Book Buzz, part of the Utah State Library’s interlibrary loan program. Patrons are welcome to request a title be at the library or fill out a form online.
Donate to the Library
Donations of books and other library materials are accepted. They must be clean (no dust, mouse droppings or pet hair) and should be in good, useable condition with no mold, coloring, or highlighting on pages, and no missing or torn pages.
Due to space constraints, we do not accept textbooks, medical or law books. R-rated DVD’s, other than those with historical value, are not added. Donated magazines are not added to the collection, but put in the magazine exchange in the rotunda.
The library reserves the right to add the material to the collection, or to sell, donate, or discard donations.
Schedule a proctor
Proctoring for online classes or distance education students is provided Monday – Friday, during library open hours. We do not proctor on Saturday. Proctoring done by appointment only. To schedule an appointment, please call the library at (801) 829-3481.
Reserve community meeting room
The community meeting room seats approximately 10-15 people and is available without charge for community, civic or governmental group during library operating hours only. Private social gatherings are not permitted.
